Three shifts, four plants, one spreadsheet holding the downtime log together. We instrumented the line events, replaced the manual reporting chain with a scheduled pipeline, and put ANALYST on shift handover summaries. Supervisors stopped reconstructing the night and started reading it.

LightSoft Global is an IT company: software engineers, integration specialists, and security people under one roof. Serbia has been producing hard engineers for forty years and exporting most of them. We stayed. That gives us deep technical bench strength, full overlap with the European working day, and the discipline of a market where nobody pays for a slide deck.

We work in small senior teams and we stay on the tools. The people who scope the system are the people who build it — and the people who answer when it pages at night. What does LightSoft Global do?

We build three kinds of system. Process automation removes the manual handoffs between tools that were never integrated. AI agents execute work rather than answer questions about it. Cyber security work closes the paths into your network and gives your team a response runbook they have rehearsed. Underneath all three is ordinary engineering: custom software and integration with what you already run.

Where are you based, and do you work outside Serbia?

We work from Novi Sad, Serbia, at Danila Kiša 20, and take engagements across Europe. Novi Sad is on Central European Time, so a normal working day overlaps fully with every European office. Briefs are answered within one business day.

How is an AI agent different from a chatbot?

A chatbot answers a question. An agent takes an action and is accountable for it: it files the claim, reconciles the ledger, chases the supplier, logs what it did, and hands back the exception. We give agents real tools, scoped credentials, and hard boundaries — and we test them against real cases in an evaluation harness before anything reaches production.

What does process automation actually replace?
